Crochet Abbreviations

Here is a list of the most commonly used abbreviations in crochet.
Also you will find some of the special stitches I created and use in some of my patterns.

Common Abbreviations

beg: beginning
bet: between
ch: chain
cl: cluster
dc: double crochet
dtr: double treble crochet
hk: hook
trtr: triple treble crochet
hdc: half double crochet
lp(s): loop(s)
pc: picot
rnd(s): round(s)
sc: single crochet
slst: slip stitch
sp(s): space(s)
st(s): stitch(es)
tog: together
tr: treble crochet
yo: yarn over
rep: repeat

Random Quick Tip!

Deer Repellant
When planting a garden, hang some nylon peds stockings near the plants with pieces of deodorant soap in them. This will help deter the deer and other animals from getting into the garden. They don't like the smell. You can also use small muslin drawstring bags available online. Just tie them on stakes near your plants.
