These earrings are made with large 15mm beads that are covered with size 20 crochet cotton. They are fast and easy to make and if you can find several different colors of the large 15mm beads, you can make a pair for every outfit in your wardrobe! They would also make a charming gift.!

Materials Needed
Size 20 DMC Cebelia cotton thread in white
2 round beads 15mm diameter any color
4 white pearls, 6mm
4 white pearls, 4mm
2 silver head pins 2inches long
1 pair Earring parts of choice
Size 11 steel crochet hook
Tapestry needle to weave in ends
Jewelry wire cutters
Jeweler's Round Nose Pliers

Yarn Thickness: 20thread
Gauge: 10sc per inch
Finished Size: 17mm diameter x 2" long
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Instructions RND 1: Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch4. Dc in ring, ch1, 9 times. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4.

RND 2 & 3: Ch4. *Dc in next dc, ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4. Make sure starting thread is on the outside of your work. Slip bead into work lining up the hole in the bead with the starting hole.

RND 4: Work with bead in work. Ch3. Dc in each dc around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave both ends into work.

Earring Assembly:
Step 1: Place beads on head pin in the following order. one 4mm pearl, one 6mm pearl, one covered bead, one 6mm pearl, one 4mm pearl.

Step 2: With pliers, bend wire as close to the 4mm bead, at a 90° angle.

Step 3: With wire cutters, cut the pin to about ¼" from bend.

Step 4: With round nose pliers, curl the wire to make a round loop. Make the end of the pin touch the spot where the wire is bent.

Step 5: Attach earring part to loop. Open the loop by bending it up, not out. To close it, just bend it back down. There are videos on You Tube and Fire Mountain Gems on how to do it correctly.

Step 6: Repeat first 5 steps for other earring.
