This hat is fast and easy to make and is just the right size for Barbie! You could make several in different colors to go with different outfits! You could stiffen it also so it will keep it's shape if you like.
Materials Needed
Size 10 crochet cotton in white
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends
Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 10sc = 1"
Finished Size: 2¾" diam x 1" h

Instructions
RND 1: Ch4. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3, 2dc in ring. Ch2. *3dc in ring, ch2. Rep from * 4 times more. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 2: Ch3. Yo, insert hook in next dc, yo, pull up a lp, yo pull through 2lps on hook, twice. (cluster made) Yo, pull through all lps on hook. Ch3. *Yo, insert hook in next dc, yo, pull up a lp, yo pull through 2lps on hook, three times. Yo, pull through all lps on hook. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of first cluster made.
RND 3: Ch3, 2dc in same st as slst. Ch1. Dc in 2nd ch of ch3 sp. Ch1. *3dc in top of next cluster. Ch1. Dc in 2nd ch of next ch3 sp. Ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 4: Ch3. Dc in each of the next 2 dc. (Ch1. Dc in next dc. Ch1.) *Dc in each of the next 3dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 5: Ch3. (Dc, ch2, dc in next dc. Dc in next dc. Ch1. Dc, ch2, dc in next dc. Ch1.) *Dc in next dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

Random Quick Tip!
Wrapping DoiliesIf you are going to give a doily as a gift and it is the same diameter as a paper towel roll is long, use the paper towel core to put the doily in. Roll the doily up and tuck into the core. Wrap like a long piece of candy. I have done this and it looked really festive. You may want to use a piece of tissue paper to lay the doily on first before rolling it up.
