Stuffed Animal Hammock

This small hammock is perfect for holding a few cute stuffed animals in a kid's room. You could of course make it any color you want and it can be used in a boy's room to hold balls or bears. How cute!

Materials Needed
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in rose
Worsted weight cotton yarn in pink
Size K/10.5 or 6.5mm aluminum crochet hook
2 2" cabone or bone rings
2 1 yard pieces 5/8" wide satin ribbon
Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness: 3mm cotton and 3mm acrylic yarn
Gauge: 3ch = 1"
Finished Size: 24"x36"
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
ROW 1: Holding both strands together throughout. Ch82. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch1, turn.

ROW 2: Sc in first sc. *Ch9. Sk 9 sc. Sc in next sc. Rep from * across. Ch1, turn.

ROW 3: Sc in first sc. Ch4. Sc in ch 9 sp. *Ch9. Sc in next ch 9 sp. Rep from * 6 times more. Ch4. Sc in last sc. Ch1, turn.

ROW 4: Sc in first st. Ch9. *Sc in next ch9 sp. Ch9. Rep from * across. Sc in last sc. Ch1, turn.

ROW 5-20: Rep rows 3 & 4.

ROW 21: Sc in each sc and in each ch across. Do not fasten off.

Finishing Sides: Sc in each row down the left side. Fasten off.Join yarn on other side & work 1 sc each row up right side. Fasten off and weave all ends into back of work.

Finishing Attaching Ribbon: Make a larks head knot onto the each ring with the ribbons. Basically, fold a piece of ribbon in half, insert the folded end of the ribbon through the bone ring, then pull the other 2 ends of the ribbon through the loop of the other end of the ribbon. Tighten up the knot on the ring. Then weave the ends of the ribbon onto the sides of the hammock starting at the outside corners and working your way to the center of the sides. Tie a bow to secure. Since this is not to carry a heavy load, this should be strong enough to stay put.
