Bath Tissue Cover

This tissue cover could be made in holiday colors for the season. It can also be embellished with holiday decorations to make it look really festive.

Materials Needed:
White & Parakeet Baby Sport Weight Pompadour yarn.
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn Needle

Gauge: 3ck sts=2.5" 5 rows=2.5"
Yarn Thickness3mm
Finished Size: fits Standard 1000 sheet bath tissue roll
Skill Level: Easy

Special Stitch Used
Checker Stitch. (ck)
Sc in next st indicated, insert hook in same st, draw up a lp, & while leaving the first lp on hook, ch3. Then insert a hook in each of the 3 chs drawing up a lp in each one. The yo and draw through all 4 lps on hook. Ch1.

Instructions
RND 1: Ch3. Work 12 dc in 3rd ch from hook. Join w/slst to first dc.

RND 2: In back lp only, Ch3. dc in same st as slst. 2dc in next st and in each st around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 3: In back lp only. Ch3, dc in same st as slst. 1 dc in next st. *2dc in next st. 1 dc in next st. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 4: Ch1. Ck in same st as slst. Sk next st. *Ck in next st. Sk next st. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 5-13: Slst to the top of the first ck. Ck in same ck. Ck in each ck around. Join w/slst to first sc of first ck. At the end of RND 13, fasten off and weave ends into back of work.

RND 14: Join Parakeet in same st as slst. Ch2. Work 4 dc in same st. Sc in top of ck. *Work 5 dc in next sc. Sc in top of next ck. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch2. Fasten off parakeet and weave ends into back of work.

Top: Join Parakeet in front lp of RND 1. Sc in same st. Work 5 dc in next lp. Sc in next lp. Rep from* around. Join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off.

Next ROW Join parakeet in front lp of RND 2 and rep as for first RND. Fasten off and weave all ends into work. Now you are done. Slip over full roll of bath tissue.
