Cone Pincushion

This pincushion is stuffed with old nylon stockings that have been cut up. It is a fun pincushion to make and you could embelish it any way you would want.
Materials Needed
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in color of choice.
Size G/6 aluminum crochet hook
Cut up panty hose, the legs of 2-3 pair.
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 6sc=1"
Finished Size: 4"w at base x4"h
Skill Level: Intermediate
Instructions
Special Stitch Single Crochet Decrease (scdec): Insert hook in each of the next 2 stitches. Yo pull through all 3 lps on hook.
Special Stitch Half Double Crochet Decreas (hdcdec): Yo, insert hook in next st. Yo pull up a lp. Insert hook in next st. Yo, pull up a lp. Yo pull through all lps on hook.
RND 1: Ch4. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch2. 12 hdc in ring. Join w/slst to top of first hdc.
RND 2: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. 2sc in each st around. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 3: Ch3. Dc in same st as slst. Dc in next st. *2dc in next st. Dc in next st. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 4: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. Sc in each of the next 2 sts. *2sc in next st. Sc in each of the next 2 sts. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 5: Ch2. Hdc in same st as slst. Hdc in each of the next 3 sts. *2hdc in next st. Hdc in each of the next 3 sts. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch2.
RND 6: Working on the post on the back side. Ch1. Sc in each st around. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 7: Ch2. Hdc in each st around. Join w/slst to top of ch2.
RND 8: Ch1. Scdec1. Sc in each of the next 13 sts, Scdec1, 3 times. Sc in each of the last 12 sts. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 9: Ch2. Hdc in each of the next 5 sts. Hdcdec1, hdc in each of the next 12 sts, 3 times. Hdcdec1. Hdc in each of the next 6 sts. Join w/slst to top of ch2.
RND 10: Ch1. Scdec1, sc in each of the next 11 sts, 4 times. Sc in each of the next 10 sts. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 11: Ch2. Hdc in each of the next 4 sts. Hdcdec1, hdc in each of the next 10 sts, 3 times. Hdcdec1. Hdc in each of the next 5 sts. Join w/slst to top of ch2.
RND 12: Ch1. Scdec1, sc in each of the next 9 sts, 4 times. Sc in each of the next 8 sts. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 13: Ch2. Hdc in each of the next 3 sts. Hdcdec1, hdc in each of the next 8 sts, 3 times. Hdcdec1. Hdc in each of the next 4 sts. Join w/slst to top of ch2.
RND 14: Ch1. Scdec1, sc in each of the next 7 sts, 4 times. Sc in each of the next 6 sts. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 15: Ch2. Hdc in each of the next 2 sts. Hdcdec1, hdc in each of the next 6 sts, 3 times. Hdcdec1. Hdc in each of the next 3 sts. Join w/slst to top of ch2.
RND 16: Ch1. Scdec1, sc in each of the next 5 sts, 4 times. Sc in each of the next 4 sts. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 17: Ch2. Hdc in each of the next st. Hdcdec1, hdc in each of the next 4 sts, 3 times. Hdcdec1. Hdc in each of the next 2 sts. Join w/slst to top of ch2. At this point stuff cushion with nylon stockings.
RND 18: Ch1. Scdec1, sc in each of the next 3 sts, 4 times. Sc in each of the next 2 sts. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 19: Ch2. Hdcdec1, hdc in each of the next 2 sts, 3 times. Hdcdec1. Hdc in each of the next st. Join w/slst to top of ch2.
RND 20: Ch1. Scdec1. Sc in next st, scdec1, 4 times. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
