Bobble Stitch Armchair Caddy

This armchair caddy is made by making one long piece then each end is folded up and stitched into place to form 2 pockets. It is fun to make and would be challenging for a beginner.

Materials Needed
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in Delft Blue
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in Earth & Sky variegated
Size H/8 and J/10 aluminum crochet hook.

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4dc=1"
Finished Size: 9.75" x 17"
Skill Level: Intermediate

Special Stitch: Bobble: Yo, insert hook in sp indicated, yo, draw up a lp, yo, draw through 2lps on hook. Rep from 4 times more. Yo, draw through all 6 lps on hook.

Instructions
ROW 1: With blue and size H Hook. Ch32. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Drop blue, do not cut blue, and join variegated. Ch3, turn.

ROW 2: *Bobble in next sc. Dc in next sc. Rep from * across. Ch1, turn.

ROW 3: Sc in each st across. Drop variegated, do not cut variegated, pick up blue. Ch3, turn.

ROW 4: *Bobble in next st. Dc in next st. Rep from * across. Ch1 turn.

ROW 5: Sc in each st across. Drop blue, pick up variegated, ch3, turn.

ROW 6-17: Rep ROWs 2-5 consecutively 3 times more.

ROW 18: Rep ROW 2.

ROW 19: Rep ROW 3. Fasten off variegated.

ROW 20: Change to size J/10 hook. Dc in next sc and in each sc across. Ch1, turn.

ROW 21: Sc in each dc across. Ch3, turn.

ROW 22-59: Rep ROWs 20-21 consecutively 19 times more.

ROW 60: Dc in next sc and in each sc across. Drop blue, join variegated.

ROW 61: Change to size H/8 hook. Sc in each dc across. Ch3, turn.

ROW 62: *Bobble in next sc. Dc in next sc. Rep from * across. Drop variegated. Pick up blue. Ch1 turn.

ROW 63: Sc in each st across. Ch3, turn.

ROW 64: *Bobble in next st. Dc in next st. Rep from * across. Drop blue. Pick up variegated. Ch1, turn.

ROW 65: Sc in each st across.

ROW 66-77: Rep ROWs 62-65 consecutively.

ROW 78: *Bobble in next sc. Dc in next sc. Rep from * across. Drop variegated. Pick up blue. Ch1 turn.

ROW 79: Sc in each st across. Fasten off and weave all ends into back of work.

Assembly:
Lay work in front of you face down, so the bobbles are facing down. Fold each side, in toward the center at the rows where the bobbles end.
Pick up your work at the upper right corner and join variegated in this corner. Working through both layers, work 2sc in each bobble and dc row and 1 sc in each sc row across to the single layer. Then work one sc in each sc row and 2 sc in each dc row for 3dc rows and 4 sc rows. Then working through both layers, continue to the other corner as before. Fasten off and work the same for the other side.
