This square is another in a series named for the months of the year. It is fast and easy to make and would make a great addition to any friendship afghan.

Materials Needed
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in bright yellow.
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in multi colors of yellow, brown, white and orange.
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in brown.
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness: 3mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: 6" x 6"
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
RND 1: With yellow. Ch5. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch1. 12 sc in ring. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 2: Ch5. Dc in 4th ch from hook. Sk 2 sc. *Sc in next sc. Ch4. Dc in 4th ch from hook, sk 2sc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first ch of ch5. Fasten off yellow.

RND 3: Join multi colored yarn in same st as slst. Ch1. 3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch4 sp. *Sc in next sc. 3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch4 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.

RND 4: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. (Ch4, dc in 4th ch from hook. Sk 2 dc. Sc in next dc. 3dc in next ch 2 corner sp. Sc in next dc. Ch4. Dc in 4th ch from hook. Sk 2 dc.) *Sc in next sc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off multi colored yarn.

RND 5: Join yellow in first ch4 sp. Ch3, 2dc in same sp. (Ch1. 3dc, ch2, 3dc in 2nd dc of the next 3dc shell in corner. Ch1. 3dc next ch4 sp. Ch1.) *3dc in next ch4 sp. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off yellow.

RND 6: Join brown in same st as slst. Ch3. Dc in each of the next 2 dc. (Dc in next ch1 sp. Dc in each of the next 3 dc. 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Dc in each of the next 3 dc. Dc in next ch1 sp. Dc in each of the next 3 dc. Dc in next ch1 sp.) *Dc in each of the next 3 dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off brown.

RND 7: Join yellow in same st as slst. Ch1. Sc in each of the next 8 dc. Sc, ch2, sc in next ch2 corner sp. Sc in each of the next 10 dc.) *Sc in next dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
