Christmas Doily

This doily would look lovely as part of your holiday decorating. It works up quickly so you can spend more time with other things to get ready for your celebration.

Materials Needed:
Southmaid Crochet Cotton Size 10 in Green and Christmas Ombre.
Size 7 Steel Crochet Hook
Fine Tapestry Needle

Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: First Round is 1" diameter
Finished Size: =15" diameter
Skill Level: Easy

Instructions
RND 1: With Ombre. Ch12, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Slst into ring. Ch5. *Dc in ring. Ch2. Rep from * 10 times more. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.

RND 2: Slst into the first Ch2 sp. Ch3, 2dc, ch 3, 3dc in first ch2 sp. Ch3. *Sk next ch2 sp. 3dc, ch3, 3dc in next ch2 sp. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. You should now have 6 Shells around.

RND 3: Slst to the first ch 3 sp. Ch3, 2dc, ch 3, 3dc in first ch3 sp. Ch 2. Dc, ch2, dc in next ch3 sp (Vst Made). Ch2. *3dc, ch3, 3dc in next ch3 sp in shell. Ch2. Vst in next ch3 sp. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 4: Slst to the first ch 3 sp. Ch3. 2dc, ch3, 3dc in first ch3 sp. Ch2. Dc in ch2 sp. Vst in next Vst. Ch2. Dc in ch2 sp. Ch2. *3dc, ch3, 3dc in next shell. Ch2. Dc in ch2 sp. Vst in next Vst. Ch2. Dc in ch2 sp. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

Pillow Form Stuffing
I like to make pillow forms with tiny scraps from my sewing. I keep every single little scrap of fabric, batting and thread. If the fabric is too small for even a scrap quilt or applique project, I throw it into a small bucket and when the bucket is full, I dump it into an old pillowcase. When I need stuffing for a pillow form, I can use it in that pillow form along with polyester Fiber Fill. It adds weight and you can fill the corners with the polyester fiberfill since that is easier to pack into the corners.
