Lemon Lime Dishcloth

This dishcloth makes use of the special stitch the citrus stitch. This stitch creates a really good scrubby texture perfect for washing those dishes.

Materials Needed:
Southmaid 8 or DMC 8 Cotton Yarn in Yellow and green.
Size D aluminum crochet hook.
Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness=2mm
Gauge: 7sc=2"
Finished Size: =9½"x10½"
Skill Level: Beginner

Special Stitch Used Citrus Stitch (cit): Ch5, insert hook in 2nd ch from hook, pull up a lp, *insert hook in next st and pull up a lp. Rep from * 2 more times. Yo and pull through all 5 lps on hook. Ch1 to close.

Instructions
With Green
ROW 1: Ch 40, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch1, turn.

ROW 2: Sc in first sc. *Cit. Sk next sc, sc in next sc. Rep from * across. You should end up with a sc in last st. Ch3, turn.

ROW 3: Sc in top of cit. Dc in sc. Rep from beg across. Ch1, turn.

ROW 4: Sc in first st. *Cit. Sc in next dc. Rep from * across. Fasten off green.

ROW 5: Join yellow in last st. Ch3. *Sc in top of cit. Dc in sc. Rep from * across. Ch1, turn.

ROW 6: Sc in first st. *Cit. Sc in next dc. Rep from * across. Fasten off yellow.

ROW 7: Join green in last st. Ch3. *Sc in top of cit. Dc in sc. Rep from * across. Ch1, turn.

ROW 8: Sc in first st. *Cit. Sc in next dc. Rep from * across. Fasten off green.

ROWs 9-20: Rep ROWs 5-8 3more times. Do not fasten off green at the end of row 20. Ch1, turn.

ROW 21: Ch3. *Sc in top of cit. Dc in sc. Rep from * across. Ch1, turn.

ROW 22: Sc in first st. *Cit. Sc in next dc. Rep from * across. Ch3, turn.

ROW 23: *Sc in top of cit. Dc in sc. Rep from * across. Ch1, turn.

ROW 24: Sc in each st across. Fasten off and weave all ends into work. With Yellow, work a sc edge all the way around. Fasten off weave ends into work.
