You could make a scrap savers afghan with this motif. It would also make a wonderful take along project. What a great way to use up all those little scraps you have stashed!

Materials Needed
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in bright pink
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in light blue
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in pale yellow
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: 4½" diam
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
RND 1: With Blue. Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch1. 11sc in ring. Join w/slst to ch1.

RND 2: Ch3. Dc in next sc. Ch3. *Dc in each of the next 2 sc. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off blue.

RND 3: Join Yellow to same st as slst. Ch1. Sc in next dc. (2sc, ch2, 2sc in next ch3 sp.) *Sc in each of the next 2dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.

RND 4: Ch3. Dc in each of the next 2 sc. (Ch1. Dc, ch2, dc in next ch2 sp. Ch1. Sk next sc. Dc in next dc.) *Dc in each of the next 3sc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off yellow.

RND 5: Join pink in same st as slst. Ch1. Sc in each of the next 2dc. (Sc in next ch1 sp. Sc in next dc. Sc, ch2, sc in next ch2 sp. Sc in next dc. Sc in next ch1 sp. Sc in next dc.) *Sc in each of the next 3dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off and weave all ends into back of work.

Now that it is summer and you are probably drinking more beverages that come in a can, you might want to make some can covers to absorb the condesation out side the can. Well the pattern for the JPFCup would work great for this! You can get the pattern at

. But if this does not work for you, you can make a simple dc circle then when it gets to 2-1/2" in diameter, just continue working one dc in each stitch around joining at the end of each round until it is the right height for the can. I would think using Variegated cotton yarn would work best for these covers.
