Crystal Hexagon Motif

This hexagon motif would look great with a bunch more in different colors or in just 2 or 3 colors in an afghan. It would make a great take along project. It would also be a great way to use up scraps.

Materials Needed
Small amount desired color worsted weight yarn. Red Heart Baby Sport in baby blue was used in the example.
Size H aluminum crochet hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Yarn Thickness 3mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: 6" from side to side. 7" from point to point
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
RND 1: Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3, dc in ring. Ch2. Sc in ring. Ch2. *2dc in ring. Ch2. Sc in ring. Ch2. Rep from * 4 times more. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 2: Ch3. Dc in next dc. Ch5. *Dc in each of the next 2 dc. Ch5. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 3: Ch3. Dc in next dc. 3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch5 sp. *Dc in each of the next 2 dc. 3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch5 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 4: Ch1. Sc in each of the next 4dc. Sc, ch2, sc in next ch 2 sp. Sc in each of the next 3dc. *Sc in each of the next 5dc. Sc, ch2, sc in next ch2 sp. Sc in each of the next 3 dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.

RND 5: Ch3. Dc in next sc. Ch1. Sk next sc. Dc in each of the next 2 sc. Ch1. Sk next sc. 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 sp. Ch1. Sk next sc. Dc in each of the next 2 sc. Ch1. Sk next sc. *Dc in each of the next 2 sc. Ch1. Sk next sc. Dc in each of the next 2 sc. Ch1. Sk next sc. 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 sp. Ch1. Sk next sc. Dc in each of the next 2 sc. Ch1. Sk next sc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 6: Ch1. [Sc in next dc. Sc in next ch1 sp. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Sc in next ch1 sp. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Sc, ch2, sc in next ch2 sp. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Sc in next ch1 sp. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Sc in next ch1 sp.] *Sc in next dc. Rep bet [] once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.

Buy More Than Enough Yarn When buying yarn, for a specific project, buy one more skein than the pattern calls for, that way, you will know you have enough and any left overs can be used in a scrap project! This goes for any other type of craft supply you need to get a certain quantity of. Just get a little more than the project calls for.
