Picot Edged Coaster

This lovely little doily would be great combined with others like it perhaps seven put together to form a table mat. Or it can work all by itself as a coaster if backed with a peice of felt. You could also stiffen it attach a hanger as use it as a snowflake ornament.

Wrapping Doilies
If you are going to give a doily as a gift and it is the same diameter as a paper towel roll is long, use the paper towel core to put the doily in. Roll the doily up and tuck into the core. Wrap like a long piece of candy. I have done this and it looked really festive. You may want to use a piece of tissue paper to lay the doily on first before rolling it up.
