This lacy bookmark is made in a Mile-A-Minute way with shells made of bobbles. This would make the perfect gift for that special book worm in your life.

Materials Needed:
Southmaid Cotton Thread Size 10
Purple
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 10sc per inch
Finished Size: =8"x2½"
Skill Level: Beginner

Special Stitch Instructions
Bobble (bl): This bobble is for use within a round. Yo, insert hook in st indicated, yo draw up a loop, yo draw thread through 2 lps on hook, rep from beg until you have 4 lps on hook. Then *yo, draw thread through all 4 lps on hook.

Instructions
ROW 1: Ch12, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in the next 3 chs. Ch5, sk the next 3 chs, sc in the last 4 chs. Ch5, turn.

ROW 2: Tr in first sc. Ch2. Work the foll in the ch 5 sp. Bl, ch3, bl, ch5, bl, ch3, bl. Ch2. Tr, ch1, tr in the last sc. Ch5, turn.

ROW 3-16: Tr in ch1 sp. Ch2. Work the foll in the ch 5 sp. Bl, ch3, bl, ch5, bl, ch3, bl. Ch2. Tr, ch1, tr in the ch1 sp. Ch5, turn.

Edging: Work down the left side to the bottom left corner. Sc, ch5, sc, ch7, sc in first tr sp. *Ch5, sc in next tr sp, ch7, sc in same tr sp. Rep from * down the left side until you reach the bottom corner. Ch5, sc in 2nd sc.
Bottom: Ch2, work the fol in the ch3 sp on bottom. Tr, ch1, 6 times, tr. Ch2, sc in next to the last sc in row.
Right Side: *Ch5, sc, ch7, sc in next tr sp. Rep from * up the right side. When you reach the last row,
Top: Ch5, sc in same last row. Ch3. Work the fol in the ch3 sp of shell. Dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc, ch5, dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc. Ch3. Join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off and weave ends into work. Press lightly with iron to flatten.
