Spiked Hot Pad

This CD hot pad is quick to make. If you have old CDs lying around, this would be a great way to use them. You can also use this pattern as a potholder. Just cut 2 pieces of felt 6" in diameter and place them inside instead of using a CD. You could actually make a kitchen set, a hot pad and potholders that all match!

Compost Crafting WasteDid you know you can compost some of your crafting waste! Anything that began as a plant, such as cotton fabric, batting, yarn, paper and other natural crafting supplies can be shredded up really small and added to your compost heap as long as you don't have any synthic chemicals on or in it.
