This little snowflake is very quick to make. You could make several in an evening and would look great on any tree or package top. It would also make a great bazaar item.

Small amount size 20 crochet cotton. Cebelia was used. White
Size 11 steel crochet hook
Tapestry Needle Fabric Stiffener.
Plastic Wrap covered Styrofoam board
Rust Proof Pins available at Wal-Mart

Skill Level: Easy
RND 1: Ch 6, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3, dc in ring. Ch3. *2dc in ring. Ch3. Rep from * 4 times more. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 2: Ch6, dc in next dc. Ch3, sc in next ch3 sp. Ch3. *Dc in next dc, ch3, dc in next dc. Ch3, sc in next ch3 sp, ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch6.
RND 3: Slst into the first ch3 sp. Ch3, 2dc, ch3, 3dc in same ch3 sp. Ch3. *Sk the next 2 ch3 sps. 3dc, ch3, 3dc in next ch 3 sp. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 4: Slst to the first ch3 sp. Ch6, dc, ch5, dc, ch3, dc in ch3 sp. Ch3. Sc in next ch3 sp. Ch3. *Dc, ch3, dc, ch5, dc, ch3, dc in next ch3 sp. Ch3, sc in next ch3 sp. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch6. Fasten off Weave ends into back of work.
To stiffen with fabric stiffener, dip snowflake into stiffener and with paper towel, dab off excess stiffener then pin on to the plastic covered Styrofoam board and allow to dry overnight. After it is dry, attach hanger to one of the points.
