This coaster uses this the special stitch, the braid stitch, and is fun and fast to make. This is an example of what an even number of stitches across looks like.

Materials Needed:
Small amount Dawn Sayelle Worsted weight yarn. Country Blue
Size G wooden hook or Aluminum hook.
Yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4dc=1"
Finished Size: 4"x4"
Skill Level: Beginner

ROW 1: Ch17. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch3, turn.

ROW 2: Brd in next sc. *Dc in next sc. Brd in next sc. Rep from * across. You will end with a brd in top of ch3. Ch3, turn.

ROW 3: *Brd in brd. Dc in dc. Rep from * across. End with a dc in top of ch3. Ch3, turn.

ROW 4-9: Rep row 3. At the end of row 9, ch1 turn.

ROW 10: Sc in each st across. Fasten off weave ends into back of work.
