Long Bobble

Patterns made with this stitch.
All Three Patterns For Members Only
[Camden Coaster]
[Long Bobble Doily]
[Round Dishcloth]

I call this the Long Bobble Stitch (lbl) This stitch is a variation of the Bobble stitch.
It starts out as any other bobble stitch but instead of drawing thread through all loops on hook at the end, you continue to draw thread through 2 lps on hook at a time till all lps are worked. Instructions
(Beg lbl) This long bobble is for use at the beginning of a round. Ch2, Yo, insert hook in st indicated, yo draw up a loop, yo draw thread through 2 lps on hook, rep from beg until you have 3 lps on hook. Then *yo, draw thread through 2 lps on hook. Rep from * until all 3 lps are worked or you have one lp left on hook.

(lbl)This long bobble is for use within a round. Yo, insert hook in st indicated, yo draw up a loop, yo draw thread through 2 lps on hook, rep from beg until you have 4 lps on hook. Then *yo, draw thread through 2 lps on hook. Rep from * until all 4 lps are worked or you have one lp left on hook.

To make 4, 5, & 6 dc lbls just repeat as you would above just increasing the number of times you repeat each section as needed.

This stitch seems to work best in the round. It would be a great element worked into granny squares which I plan to do in the future.
