This festive scrunchie would look great made with any size 10 crochet cotton. It really is fun to make and works up fairly quick.

Materials Needed
Southmaid Crochet cotton Size 10
Shaded Christmas was used in the example
large hair elastic Goody Brand was used.
Size 7 Steel Crochet hook.

Thread Size: 10thread
Gauge: 10sc=1"
Finished Size: 4" diameter
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
RND 1: Tie thread onto elastic band. *Sc in ring. Ch5. Rep from * until you have the elastic completely filled. As full as you can make it. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 2: Slst into the first 3 chs of the first ch5 lp. Slst into the top of this first lp. Ch6. *Dc in next ch5 lp. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch6.

RND 3: Ch6. *Dc in next dc. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch6.

RND 4: Ch8. Slst in 3rd ch from hook ch2. *Dc in next dc. Ch5. Slst in 3rd ch from hook ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch8. Fasten off and weave ends into work. Weaving to the outside of the scrunchie.
