Roses Pincushion

This little pincushion looks like a fat ruffly hat with roses around it's brim.

Materials Needed:
Small Amount each color worsted weight yarn.
Fisherman, Country Blue, Varigated Blue.
8 Pink Ribbon roses, ½"diameter on wire.
Size I aluminum crochet hook
Yarn Needle
Yarn scraps, nylon hose scraps or polyester stuffing.

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4dc =1"
Finished Size: 5"diameter 2"high
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
With Fisherman.
RND 1: Ch3. Wk 12 dc in 3rd ch from hook. Join w/slst to first dc.

RND 2: Ch3. Dc in same st as slst. 2dc in next dc and in each dc around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off fisherman.

RND 3: With Country Blue. Join yarn on to back loop only and work 1 sc in each st around working only in back lps. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 4: Work through both lps. Ch1, sc in each sc around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off blue.

RND 5: Join varigated blue. Wk 1 sc in each st around. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 6: Ch1. Sc in each sc around. Join w/slst to ch1.

RND 7: Work in front lps only. Ch3. 2dc in same st as slst. Wk 3dc in each st around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off varigated. Weave ends into work.

Bottom
Repeat RND 1 & 2 with country blue then fasten off leaving the yarn long enough to sew bottom into the main part. (about 14") Sew the bottom to the back lps of rnd 6. Before closing all the way, stuff and then finish sewing to close. Weave ends into work.

Cut the wires of the rose stems to ¾" long. Arrange them around the outside until they are evenly spaced and then pull each one out, apply glue to it and stick it back in. Cute HUH!?
