Crochet Pillowghan Squares Patterns

Image of Valentine Pillowghan Square Valentine Pillowghan Square Date Added: February 11, 2011
This 12in by 12in pillowghan square has hearts on the inside red rows. If look closely, you can see them. The hearts are made with cluster stitches worked over 2dc. It is a fun and fairly fast square to make and would make a great pillowghan square for a friendship exchange.

This is a fun and easy pillowghan square that can be made with the scraps you may have in your stash. The yarn in this square was Red Heart Super Saver. It has 2 rounds with cluster stitches in it but for the most part, it has just double crochets and single crochets.

This large crocheted pillowghan square would look great with a bunch more made up with several different colored scraps of yarn.

Image of Clusters & Shells Pillowghan Square Clusters & Shells Pillowghan Square Date Added: July 9, 2007
This crocheted pillowghan square is fairly fast to make and could be made many color combinations. It starts off with a variegated yarn in the center and also has a solid color yarn worked in. The cluster used in this pattern is a true cluster which is worked over 3 stitches and not into one stitch like a bobble is.

This pillowghan square can be easily made with several different colors or with a varaigated colored yarn. It is simple and would make a great take along project. With this pattern, you could easily make a pillowghan in about 12-13 hours or 13-14 nights if you make just one square per night. Then piece them all together on the 14th night.

This pillowghan square is almost exactly like the Perky Pillowghan Square. There is a slight variation with the way the corners are worked. And also there is a row of sc on the last round. Plus this is made of all one color.

Sorry, I could not think of a better name. ;) This pillowghan square can be easily altered to make a small 6inx6in square or continued on for an afghan. It is very versatile. This square does tend to be wavy. This is a great pattern to use up scraps you may have.

This square is a bit different from the normal pillowghan square. It is wavy. If you want it to lie flat, you could use a larger hook. I made it this way just to be different. If you use a soft type of worsted weight yarn, this would produce a very luxurious afghan!
