This snowflake is fast and easy to make and starts off as filet crochet in the center around a center ring.

Size 10 Crochet thread in white. Southmaid was used in the example
Size 7 Steel crochet hook
Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends.
Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 8sc = 1"
Finished Size: 3" in diameter
Skill Level: Beginner
RND 1: Ch12. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch4. *Dc in next ch of ring. Ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4.
RND 2: Ch5. *Dc in next dc, ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 3: Ch5. Dc in next dc. Ch5. *Dc in next dc. Ch2. Dc in next dc, ch5. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 4: Slst into the next ch2 sp. Ch1. (5dc, ch3, 5dc in next ch5 sp.) *Sc in next ch2 sp. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 5: Ch5. (Sk 2dc. Dc in nex tdc. Dc, ch2, dc, ch3, dc, ch2, dc in next ch3 sp. Sk 2 dc. Dc in next dc. Ch4. Sk 2 dc.) *Sc in next dc. Ch4. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first ch of ch5. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work. Stiffen and attach a hanger to one of the points.
