This ornament is made with an empty transparent tape core. One of my favorite recycled items to use in making wreath ornaments. It is really fast and easy to make and a great way to reuse those empty transparent tape cores.

1 empty transparent tape core. 3/8"x1½"" diameter
Small amount white worsted weight acrylic yarn
2 pieces 18" of ¼" wide picot edged satin ribbon in red.
Size G/6 aluminum crochet hook
Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Finished Size: 3½"" diameter
Skill Level: Beginner
RND 1: Tie yarn onto plastic ring. Work 20 sc in ring. Join w/slst to first sc.
RND 2: Ch3. Counts as 1 dc. Work 4 dc in same st as slst. Take hook out of loop. Insert hook in top of ch 3. Then in dropped loop. Then pull loop through the top of ch3. Then ch1. Work the foll in each st around. 5dc. Take hook out of loop. Insert hook into top of first dc in st, then insert hook in dropped loop and pull through first dc to close. Ch1. Join w/slst to top of first popcorn made. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
With both pieces of ribbon, tie a bow around the base of the first popcorn made. Attach hanger to top.
