I used a rectangle "D" ring to make this ornament cause I had hundreds of these rings and thought it would be fun to have an ornament made with one. You could use a bone ring which is ¾" in diameter instead if you cannot find one of the Square D's in your local fabric store.

1 Rectangle "D" ring. ½""x1"
Sewing Thread and needle for hanger.
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Finished Size: =1¼"x2½""
Skill Level: Easy
RND 1: Join thread to ring at any place. Work 42 sc in ring. Join w/slst to first sc.
RND 2: Ch4. Sk next sc. Sc in next sc. Rep from beg around. Join w/slst to first ch of ch4.
RND 3&4: Slst to the 2nd ch of the first ch4 lp. Sc in this first ch 4 lp. Ch4. *Sc in next ch4 lp. Ch4. Rep from * around. At the end of rnd 4. Fasten off and weave ends into work. Attach hanger to top center ch4lp.
