Rippled Rainbow Easter Basket

Image of Rippled Rainbow Easter Basket Designed By Julie A. Bolduc

This Easter basket is fun and fairly easy to make and uses a recycled 3 pound margarine tub as it's inside form. It is made similar to the Rippled Rainbow Easter Egg Pillow but does not have the multicolored yarn separating the colors of the rainbow.

Plastic Handle Prep. Cut the flat rim off of the margarine tub lid so you end up with a very long narrow flat plastic strip. Start by cutting through one side, then cutting around the rim.

Pull plastic strip through the handle. Cut the plastic strip to fit inside the handle. Stitch ends closed but do not fasten off yet. Stitch each end to the top round of the basket for the handle.

Glue top round of basket to just under the rim of the margarine tub.
