Image of Mr Fashion Doll Pants

Mr Fashion Doll Pants

Designed By Julie A. Bolduc

These pants are a result of a request for clothing made for a Ken doll. It took quite a bit of thinking to get the best way to construct a pair of pants that would not be too difficult for the beginner to do. If you need to make the pants larger or smaller, just use a larger or smaller hook to get the right gauge.

Materials Needed
Small amount worsted weight yarn. 3mm thick. Denim Blue. I do not know what brand I used since my sister gave me the yarn. It was in a big bag of yarn she found in a thrift store.
Size H aluminum crochet hook

Yarn Thickness: 3mm
Gauge: 5sc=1" 5rows=1"
Finished Size: Fits a 12" male fashion Doll
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions Make 2 the same.
ROW 1: Ch29, Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch1, turn.
ROW 2-6: Sc in first sc and in each sc across. Ch1, turn.
ROW 7: Sc in each of the first 20 sc. Ch1,turn.
ROW 8: Sc in each sc across. Ch1, turn.
ROW 9: Sc in each sc across, ch 10, turn.
ROW 10: Sc 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Then sc in each sc to the end of the row. Ch1, turn.
ROW 11-16: Sc in each sc across, ch1, turn. At the end of row 17, fasten off leave the end about 18" long for sewing the side seam together.

Make another one the same way.

Assembly Lay the two pieces down in front of you matching each one to the other perfectly. See where you have a U shape in the center, this is the crotch area. Sew this place together leaving 7 stitches un stitched on one side for the fly. Then sew the side seams together by bringing the right and left side of the same piece together. Match the edges then using the 18" length of yarn, whip stitch the first and last rows together. Repeat this with the other side. Work one row of sc around the waist to form a waist band, then fasten off and weave in the ends.
To complete the fly, sew a tiny snap to the top.
