Open Windows Plant Hanger

This plant hanger is made similar to another one on this site. It is easy to use on a hanging plant that is established with it's vines hanging down over the sides of the pot. It will not damage the tender branches when you put the plant into this hanger.

Materials Needed
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in 3 colors
Size H/8 aluminum crochet hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Shower curtain ring or other hanging thing.

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: Fits 8" pot
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
RND 1: With color 1 or green. Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch5. Dc in ring, ch2, 11 times. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.

RND 2: Ch6. *Dc in next dc. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch6.

RND 3: Ch7. *Dc in next dc, ch4. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch7.

RND 4: Ch8. *Dc in next dc, ch5. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch8. Fasten off green.

RND 5: Join color 2 or off white in same st as slst. Ch1. 5sc in next ch5 sp. *Sc in next dc. 5sc in next ch5 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.

RND 6: Ch5. Sk 2 sc. *Dc in next sc, ch2, sk 2 sc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.

RND 7: Ch1. 2sc in next ch2 sp. *Sc in next dc. 2sc in next ch2 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.

RND 8: Join color 1 or green in same st as slst. Ch8. Sk 5 sc. *Dc in next sc. Ch5. Sk 5sc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch8.

RND 9: Ch8. *Dc in next dc. Ch5. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch8.

RND 10: Rep rnd 9.

RND 11: With brown or color 3, rep round 5.

RND 12: Rep rnd 6.

RND 13: Rep rnd 7.

RND 14: Rep rnd 8.

RND Handles: (Join green in same st as slst. Ch4, yo twice, insert hook in same st, yo pull up a lp, yo pull through 2 lps on hook twice, yo twice, sk 2 sc, insert hook in next sc, yo pull up a lp. Yo pull through 2 lps on hook twice. Yo twice, insert hook in same st, pull up a lp, yo pull through 2lps on hook twice, yo pull through all 4 lps on hook. Ch4, tr through all 4 lps at top of cluster just made. *Ch4, tr in top of ch4 & tr. Rep from * 14 times more. Fasten off.) [Sk 14sc and rep bet () for 2nd handle.] Rep bet [] 2 times more.

Finishing Hanging: Hang by placing the 16 lp on a shower curtain or some other plant hanger bracket.
