Stuffed Candy Corn Toy

This pattern started out as a tablemat but after I completed rnd 11, I found that it would make a better stuffed toy. You could actually use this pattern with crochet thread and make a bunch of these to put into a Halloween centerpiece.

Materials Needed
1 Red Heart Super Saver Skein Acrylic worsted weight yarn in Pale Yellow, White and Orange.
Size J aluminum crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfill
Yarn Needle

Yarn Thickness 4mm
Gauge 7sc=2"
Finished Size 11" high
Skill Level Intermediate

How to decrease (dec)
Yo, insert hook in next st. Yo, draw up a loop. You draw yarn through 2 loops on hook. Insert hook in next st. Yo draw up a loop. Yo, draw yarn through all 3 lps on hook.

Instructions
With Yellow
RND 1: Ch3, 9 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 2: Ch2. 2Hdc in next hdc. 3hdc in next hdc. 2hdc in next hdc. 1hdc in each of the next 2 hdc. 2hdc in next hdc. 3hdc in next hdc. 2hdc in next hdc. 1 hdc in next hdc. Join w/slst to top of ch2.

RND 19: Ch2. Hdc in each st around. Join w/slst to top of ch2.

RND 20: Ch1. Hdc in next 9 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 5 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 10 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 5 sts. Yo, insert hook in next st. Draw up a loop, you draw loop through 2 lps on hook insert hook in ch1, yo draw up a loop and bring it through all lps on hook. Slst in next hdc to join. You should now have 34 sts around.

RND 21: Ch2. Hdc in each st around. Join w/slst to top of ch2.

RND 22: Ch2. Dec 1. Hdc in next 8 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 5 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 8 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 4 sts. Join w/slst to top of ch2. (30 sts)

RND 23: Ch2. Hdc in each st around. Join w/slst to top of ch2.

RND 24: Ch2. Hdc in next st. Dec 1. Hdc in next 6 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 5 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 6 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 3 sts. Join w/slst to top of ch 2.Fasten off Orange. (26sts)

RND 26: Ch2. Hdc in next 2 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 4 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 5 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 4 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next 2 sts. Join w/slst to top of ch2. Stuff Candy Corn. Lightly so that you do not stretch the stitches.(22sts)

RND 29: Ch2. Dec 1. Hdc in next 5 sts. Dec 1. Hdc in next st. Dec 1. Hdc in next 4 sts. Join w/slst to top of ch2. Fasten off leaving an end about 6". Finish stuffing the candy corn then work a running stitch around the top of the stitches all the way around and pull to gather up the opening to close. Then weave the ends into your work. Done.
