Little Easter Candy Dish

This Easter Candy dish could be used for any season by just switching out the colors for the occasion you are making it for. It is just the right size for small candies.

Materials Needed
Margarine tub 4"diam x 2" high
Worsted Weight acrylic yarn in 4 colors of choice. I used purple, lavender, pink and white.
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends
Paper punch to make ¼" hole

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: 4"x2"
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
STEP 1: Punch 32 holes evenly spaced around rim of margarine tub with paper punch and set aside.

RND 1: With purple. Ch4. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch4. 15dc in ring. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 2: Ch3. Dc in same st as slst. 2dc in each dc around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 3: Drop purple to the back but do not fasten off. Join lavendar in next st, ch3, pull through purple lp on hook. Drop lavendar to the back and do not fasten off. *Pick up purple, sc in next st, drop purple, pick up lavendar, dc in next st, drop lavendar. Rep from * around. Do not drop lavendar at end, instead join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off purple. You are done with purple.

RND 4: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. Sc in next st. *2sc in next st. Sc in next st. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.

RND 5: Ch1. Drop lavendar. Join pink in next st. Ch3, then pull lp through lavendar lp on hook. Drop pink. *Pick up lavendar, sc in next st. Drop lavendar, pick up pink, dc in next st, drop pink. Rep from * around but do not drop pink at end of round. Join w/slst to ch1.

RND 6: Ch1. Sc in each st around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off lavendar.

RND 7: Ch1. Drop pink. Join white in next st. Ch3, pull though pink lp on hook. Drop white. *Pick up pink, sc in next st, drop pink, pick up white, dc in next st, drop white. Rep from * around but do not drop white at end of round. Join w/slst to ch1.

RND 8: Ch1. Sc in each st around. Join w/slst to ch1. Do not fasten off white but fasten off pink and weave all other ends into back of work.

RND 9: Joining to margarine tub: Ch1. Join work to tub by working 3 sts into 2 holes with a sc in each of 3 stitches in the work. *1sc in next st & hole. 1sc in next st & hole, work next sc in next sc and same hole as last st. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off and weave ends into work. NOTE: You may have to work the last 2 sts in last hole before joining.
