Variation of Julie's 8" LadySquare

     This square is a variation of the square designed for the Ladies of the Square Circle. I was about half way through making the squares when I decided I wanted a change but not a drastic one. So I changed the way the colors were put together and changed some of the rows and this square is the result.

Materials Needed For each square
2 different colors of Worsted weight yarn. Red Heart was used for the example in Raspberry and Navy.
Size H aluminum crochet hook.

Gauge: 4dc=1"
Yarn Thickness: 4mm

Skill Level: Easy Instructions
RND 1: With MC. Ch4, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch4. *Dc in ring. (Ch1, dc in ring twice.) Ch2. Rep from * 3 times more. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4.

RND 2: Slst into the first ch1 sp. Ch3, dc in same ch1 sp. *2dc in next ch1 sp. 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 3: Slst into the first sp between dc. Ch3. Dc in each of the next 3 sps. Ch1. 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Ch1. Sk next dc and next sp. (Dc in next sp 5times) Ch1. *2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Ch1. Sk next dc and next sp. (Dc in next sp 5times) Ch1. Rep from * around. But when you get back to where you started the round, dc in in last sp just before the ch3. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 4: Slst into the next sp bet dc. Ch3. Dc in each of the next 2 sps. 2dc in next sp. Ch1. *2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Ch1. Sk next 2dc. 2dc in next ch1 sp. Dc in each of the next 4 sps bet dc. 2dc in next ch1 sp. Ch1. Sk next 2 dc. Rep from * 2 times more. 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Ch1. Sk next 2dc. 2dc in next ch1 sp. Dc in next sp bet dc. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 5: Ch1. Sc in each of the next 4dc. Sc in next ch1 sp. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. *2sc, ch2, 2sc in next ch2 corner sp. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Sc in next ch1 sp. Sc in each of the next 8dc. Sc in next ch1 sp. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Rep from * 2 times more. 2sc, ch2, 2sc in next ch2 corner sp. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Sc in next ch1 sp. Sc in next 3sc. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 6: Ch3. Dc in each of the next 9sc. *2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Dc in each of the 18sc across. Rep from * 3 times more. 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Dc in each of the last 8 sc. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off MC.

RND 7: Join CC in any ch2 corner sp. Ch3, dc, ch2, 2dc in same ch2 corner sp. [(Sk next 2dc. 2 dc in next sp bet dc.) Rep bet () 9 times more.] *2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Rep bet []. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave all ends into back of work.
