Feel the Love Heart Fridgie

This heart fridgie is made by following a filet crochet chart then a round of shells is worked around the perimeter. Then the heart is embellished with pearl white and clear red beads which you can feel. The magnet on the back is from a magnet sheet you can get for printing on your inkjet printer. You can also recycle a large piece of flat sheet magnet if you have one.

Materials Needed
Size 10 crochet cotton scraps in white and pink
81 White pearl glass E beads
32 Transparent Red Glass E beads
Magnet sheet about 3½"x 5"
Piece of white acrylic felt 3½" x 5"
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Black fine tip sharpee
Spray Adhesive
Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends and small enough to fit through beads

Gauge: 8 dc = 1"
Finished Size: 4¼" x 3"

Instructions

RND 1:When you are done with the instructions above, work a round of chains around the perimeter in the following way. Ch3. Sc in top of ch3 of the previous row. Ch3. Sc in top of next dc of row down left side. Ch 3, Sc in top of next ch3 of next row down left side. Ch3. Sc in top of next dc of next row down the left side. Ch3, sc in next outer corner, 5 times.
Ch3. Sk 2 dc. Sc in next dc. Ch3, sc in next outer corner 5 times. Ch3, sc in top of next dc up right side, 4 times.
Ch3. Sc in next outer corner. Ch3. Sk 2 dc. Sc in next dc. Ch3, sc in next outer corner, twice. Ch3. Sc in space between the 2dc in center top of heart.
Ch3, sc in next outer corner, twice. Ch3. Sk next 2 dc. Sc in next dc. Ch3. Sc in top of last dc. Join w/slst to first ch of the first chain 3. Fasten off pink and join white to first ch3 sp.

RND 2: Ch3, 4dc in same space. Sc in next sc. *5dc in next ch3 sp. Sc in next sc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off white.
Now you will sew beads onto front of heart. With crochet thread and fine needle, sew the white beads to the base of RND 2. Sew three beads at the bottom of each 5dc shell all the way around as shown in the picture.

With the red beads sew on the word Love across the front. Use 8 beads for each letter.

Assembly Trace the heart onto a piece of felt with a black sharpee. Cut the heart out about 1/8 to a 1/4 inch in from the black lines. Sew the heart shaped piece of felt to the back side of the crocheted Heart.
Trace the heart onto a piece of magnet sheet. Cut it out in the same way as you did for the felt heart and using the spray adhesive, spray glue on the back of both the magnet sheet and the felt side of the heart then put them together back to back. Allow to dry over night.
