Simply Small Hexagon Doily

This small doily is just the right size to place a candle onto or use as a coaster for a glass candy dish. It is fast and easy to make and would be a nice addition to any country decor. You will want to iron this doily to flatten it when you are done.

Materials Needed
Size 10 crochet cotton. in desired color. Southmaid was used in the example.
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends.

Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 8dc = 1"
Finished Size: 6" diam from side to side
Skill Level: Beginner to intermediate

Instructions
RND 1: Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch6. Dc in ring, ch3, 5 times. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch6.

RND 2: Ch3. (Dc in next ch. Dc, ch2, dc in next ch. Dc in next ch.) *Dc in next dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 3: Slst in each of the next 2 dc. Slst into next ch2 sp. Ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 4: Slst into each of the next 2dc. Ch5. (Dc, ch2, dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. Dc in next dc. Ch1. Sk next 2 dc. Dc in each of the next 2 chs. Ch1. Sk next 2dc.) *Dc in next dc. Ch2. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.

RND 5: Ch3. (Dc in each of the next 2 chs. Dc in next dc. 1dc, ch2, 1dc in next ch2 sp. Dc in next dc. Dc in each of the next 2 chs. Dc in next dc. Ch1. Dc in each of the next 2 dc. Ch1.) *Dc in next dc. Rep bet ()once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 6: Ch3. (Dc in next dc. Ch1. Sk next dc. Dc in each of the next 2dc. Ch2. Dc, ch2, dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. Dc in each of the next 2 dc. Ch1. Sk next dc. Dc in each of the next 2 dc. Ch1. Dc in each of the next 2dc. Ch1.) *Dc in next dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from *around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4.
