Tunisian DishclothDesigned By Julie A. BolducThis dishcloth uses a variation on the basic afghan stitch. Instead of always working on the vertical bars, you will also work on the hump just above some of the vertical bars. You can easily make a sampler square using this stitch.
Materials Needed
Yarn Thickness: 3mm
ROW 2: Insert hook in hump just above next vertical bar, bring up a lp, insert hook in next vertical bar, bring up a lp, . Rep bet () across. Ch1. *Yo, pull through 2lps on hook. Rep from * back to beg. ROW 3-17: Rep row 2. Fasten off white.
Perimeter RND 2: Slst into the first ch2 sp. Ch3, dc, ch2, 2dc in same sp. Dc in each sc across. *2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Dc in each sc across. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off pink. RND 3: Join white in same st as slst. Ch1. Sc in each next dc. 2sc, ch1, 2sc in next ch2 corner sp. Sc in each dc across. *2sc, ch1, 2sc in next ch2 corner sp. Sc in each dc across. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off and weave all ends into back of work.
