This doily was named by my daughter Joanna. She really liked the spiral effect in the center of the doily. It is a fairly quick doily to make but you really need to pay close attention to the subtle changes in the instructions from one row to the next. Lacy Ice Crystal
Date Added: September 4, 2000
This lacy design is fairly quick to make. The part that seems to take the longest to complete is the last row. I did have to rip out a few rows, a few times to get this to lay flat. This doily is perfect all by itself or it can be joined with several more just like it to make a placemat tablecloth or even a coverlet over a solid color bedspread. If you do join these together you would join them in the center of the shells that are on the outside of the doily with a sc.

Image of Filet Square Doily

Filet Square Doily
Date Added: May 8, 1999
There are not very many filet doily patterns that are worked in the round but here is one I hope you enjoy. This doily would also be a great motif used in a table cloth or in a bedspread. It would be a long term project that you could take with you to make up the squares then sew them together when you have enough made.
