This little dishcloth can also be used as a granny square for an afghan. I made it with cotton yarn for a small dishcloth because I needed a new little one. Plus I made this to show you that you can use any granny square pattern, make it out of cotton yarn, and use it as a dishcloth!

Image of Lacy Honeycomb Dishcloth

Lacy Honeycomb Dishcloth
Date Added: July 24, 2001
This is not your traditional dishcloth! Who says it has to be square or a rectangle! If you don't use it as a dishcloth, you can always use it as a light duty hot pad to set things on. Just don't use it as a potholder. You could also make it with acrylic yarn as an afghan motif or with fine thread as a snowflake.

Date Added: February 12, 2000
If you look very carefully you will see wavy lines which resemble chutes and ladders on the rows. This is acheived using the same stitch that is in the Tissue Holder but instead of changing colors and and starting each color change at the beginning of each row. This pattern is done so the piece is reversible by actually turning the work. This pattern could be enlarged to make a large afghan.
