Tunisian Scrunchie
This scrunchie is fun and easy to make and uses the afghan or tunisian stitch in it. You can use any worsted weight acrylic yarn you like but I used a variegated yarn in browns & blues.

Helpful Hints
Fabric Softener Sponges
A money saving tip for using liquid fabric softener is to put the liquid into a wide mouth plastic jar and get basic small kitchen sponges and keep the sponges in the jar filled with the fabric softener, then with each wash, pull out a sponge, ring it out a bit, then just throw it in the dryer. I did this for several years while my kids were small and had to do a lot of laundry. Liquid fabric softener is less expensive than dryer sheets and you are not left with the used sheets to throw away. You can get an unlimited number of uses from each sponge. It saves money and helps the environment!

Notice there is a number under the point tracker now. That number indicates how many people have hit a page with a tracker on it since July 19, 2009. From now on, when you get to a page with a tracker, and you have not already been given points for visiting that page, you will be given 100 points instead of 10. If you are the 1,000,000th person to hit a page with a tracker, you will actually get 1,000,000 points instead. When 1,000,000 has been reached, the counter will reset itself to 0 and the count will start over again. That way, everyone will have a chance to win the 1,000,000 points.
It send the winner and I an email when it rewards the one million points. Right now, at the rate the number is growning, it could take up to 2 years for the first 1,000,000 to be reached. So I am working on adding the tracker to more pages. I am only adding the tracker to pages that have large ads on them.
Don't forget, if you are a paid member, you can use the points to purchase items from the special store inside the paid members area. I will be adding some handmade jewelry to it soon. I have other stuff I will be adding also.
