Helpful Hints
Winding Yarn
The yarn in a standard skein is twisted in a certain way in the factory and as you may have seen on the wrapper from Red Heart Super Savor, they want you to pull the yarn out of one end first, then actually use the other end first. There is a good reason for this. If you use the yarn from the outside in on these skeins, the yarn will tend to split while using it. Make sure you actually start on the end they suggest. It won't disturb the twist of the yarn as much and it will be much smoother. Also, when you wind the yarn into a ball, keep in mind, you should wind it from the other end, not the end that comes from the outside of the skein since when you use it from the ball, the tail end of the yarn will be on the outside instead of the beginning end. If you use a yarn winder that makes "cakes" of yarn, make sure you remember which end is which and if you like to pull yarn from the center, make sure the end you want is put on the winder in the center first. If you like to use if from the outside of the cakes, make sure to put the tail end on the center first.

Coming Soon
Win 1,000,000 points!
Notice there is a number under the point tracker now. That number indicates how many people have hit a page with a tracker on it since July 19, 2009. From now on, when you get to a page with a tracker, and you have not already been given points for visiting that page, you will be given 100 points instead of 10. If you are the 1,000,000th person to hit a page with a tracker, you will actually get 1,000,000 points instead. When 1,000,000 has been reached, the counter will reset itself to 0 and the count will start over again. That way, everyone will have a chance to win the 1,000,000 points.
It send the winner and I an email when it rewards the one million points. Right now, at the rate the number is growning, it could take up to 2 years for the first 1,000,000 to be reached. So I am working on adding the tracker to more pages. I am only adding the tracker to pages that have large ads on them.
Don't forget, if you are a paid member, you can use the points to purchase items from the special store inside the paid members area. I will be adding some handmade jewelry to it soon. I have other stuff I will be adding also.
