Today's Featured Pattern!

Today's Featured Pattern! Today's Featured Pattern' is:
"Pizza Pan Hot Pad"

This hot pad is just the right size for those frozen self rising crust pizzas you can get at your local grocery store!

All of the patterns on this site are free! Enjoy! Starting sometime in 2017, I will start adding other designer's patterns to the site. If you would like for me to visit a site to pick a few free patterns from, let me know. The main criteria, for me to add the pattern to my database, is there has to be a photo of the project, an actual pattern page as well as a downloadable PDF file.

Crafty Hacks of the Day

I thought I would put in random craft related tips every day so I am not limited to just crochet and paper beads. I will try to come up with 2 craft related tips per day. By the way, I have been crocheting and crafting since the age of 5! I have done many different types of crafts over the years. Not just crochet, knitting and paper beads.

European Style Paper Bead Tip

I dip my beads to glaze them but my large hole beads stuck together and I had to use a box cutter to separate them until I discovered I could cut 1/4" long by 1/2" wide pieces of corrugated cardboard and string them on the fishing line alternately with the large hole beads. This is wide enough to separate the beads. You sill have to break apart the cardboard pieces from the beads after each dip but at least you wont need to cut them apart with a craft knife or box cutter.

Cheap White Backdrop for Desktop Videos.

Get yourself a roll of plain white contact paper and cut a piece big enough to cover your work surface for use as a white backdrop for your desktop how to videos. I do this and it works very well! My work surface is made with a large scrap of white cabinet melamine but it was not white enough for me so I put down a sheet of the contact paper on top of it which is actually more white than the white cabinet melamine.

Latest Poll Question

I have been making Paper Bead Coloring Books in Paper Back Form.
I am considering making my crochet patterns available in Paperback form as well starting with Granny Squares.
They are already available for the Kindle Fire.
Do you want the Granny Squares available in a Paper Back Book?

    Prize: Surprise Pack

On Sundays, I will pick a weekly raffle winner! You cannot win more than once in a given month. Please allow up to a week to 10 days for postal delivery of your prize.

Weekly Surprise Pack

Prizes go out in the Mail the Monday after the Sunday the winner is chosen unless there is a Monday holiday, then it will go out on Tuesday.
Weekly Surprise Pack

The prize, for the next few weeks, or months, the prize will be a surprise pack. It will be something from my inventory for the craft fairs I participated in. I have decided I am no longer going to participate in any craft fair since the return on my time and money investment is not worth it. So from now on, when I make stuff for YouTube videos, the items I make multiples of, for the sake of the video, will be used as prizes, as well as other stuff I make, or have in my stash that I don't need anymore. It may even also contain a split pin paper bead roller with a wooden handle of a random size. I have discontinued the wood handle split pin paper bead rollers and I am working on clearing them out. If you don't want to wait to win one, you can purchase them on individually.

Latest Updated Pattern

My Little Tote

My Little Tote

Originally designed in July of 2005, the My Little Tote is the latest pattern I have updated! What I did to it was, I did not have the original photo on my computer but I did have the original tote bag in storage so I just took a new photo of it. The photo is bigger, has a white background and is more clear. I also updated the pdf file that goes with it!

Most of the future patterns that I will be updating, will be those in the Granny Square category. I am getting them ready to publish into a paperback book. Hopefully I will have them all updated and ready for the book by October 1. I don't have all of the actual granny squares I made nor do I have the original photos so I have to make them and take fresh photos of almost all of them.
